WHAT DO THE RANGE AND EMISSIONS VALUES MEAN?

Emissions are measured in grams/km of Carbon Dioxide (CO2). Combustion of fuel in your vehicle’s engine emits CO2 so the more fuel efficient (or electric!) your vehicle, the less CO2 it will produce. These emissions values are based on data from Rightcar NZ: learn more about their environmental ratings system here.

Range indicates the maximum distance a vehicle can go on its full electric charge capacity. It is based on tests by each individual manufacturer under controlled conditions. Real-life range results will vary depending on factors such as vehicle usage and operating conditions. You should not expect that the exact driving range figure will be achieved in real world driving conditions.

WHERE TO GET A USED ELECTRIC VEHICLE

Most second-hand electric vehicles in New Zealand are imported from the UK and Japan, although as uptake increases across the country, more NZ used EVs are entering the market. EVs need far less maintenance than combustion engine vehicles, so they hold their value for longer and are able to clock up significantly higher mileages throughout their lifetime. Whether you buy new or used, you are making a financially sound transport investment.

Used electric vehicles for sale in New Zealand can be found on TradeMe Motors, other online marketplaces and at reputable used car dealerships nationwide. The used EV retailers below are trusted Drive Electric partners.
