We purchased a brand-new Hyundai Ioniq in mid-October, just six weeks ago, and since then we’ve driven more than 1,300 km at a total cost of less than $7 for “fuel electricity” (which we spent at two ChargeNet rapid chargers in Whangarei and Kaiwaka). That’s possible by making good use of free fast-charging stations in our area, provided by our local lines company Northpower, and charging at home using surplus from our own solar panel arrays.
Olli also wrote a short story about his plan to switch to 100% renewable energy for the Daily Encourager which you can read here.
