Professor Loulin Huang, Professor of Robotics and Mechatronics, Auckland University of Technology

Professor Huang has spent more than 35 years researching and teaching robotics and mechatronics. His academic path took him from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in China, where he earned Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering, to Nanyang Technological University in Singapore for a Master’s in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, and finally to the National University of Singapore for a PhD.

Over the course of his career, Professor Huang has led more than thirty industry and government-funded projects spanning a wide range of applications, and has authored over 140 research publications.
