EV Batteries – What’s in them and what will happen to them?

July 31 @ 5:15 pm - 7:15 pm

As the number of electric vehicles (EVs) in Aotearoa increases, so too do the questions about the batteries and the minerals they are made from.

The Drive Electric Board is delighted to invite Drive Electric members to an evening of myth-busting and conversation; EV Batteries – what’s in them and what will happen to them?

Please join us at the first event in the Drive Electric winter event series. This will be an opportunity to learn from international experts Dr Euan McTurk and Jim Lennon and domestic expert Dominic Salmon. Presentations will cover recycling, repurposing and refurbishing EV batteries and the minerals they contain. You’ll discover the facts, technologies and projects supporting the second life of EV batteries and have the opportunity to engage in a Q&A session moderated by Drive Electric chair Kirsten Corson.

This will be an evening of myth-busting, conversation and, as always, our member event will provide an excellent opportunity to network with other like-minded Drive Electric members who play crucial roles in the transport, technology, energy and infrastructure sectors.

Date: Wednesday 31st July

Time: 5:15pm – 7:15pm

Venue: Kindly hosted by Hudson Gavin Martin, Level 16, 45 Queen St, Auckland

Members RSVP below.
